My favourite korean food stall. (Kim Dae Mun)

I have a favourite korean food stall located in orchard. It is really nice and not expensive. It is located in a food court!

KIM DAE MUN
100 Orchard Road
Level 1 Concorde Foodcourt

My favourite dish is the spicy chicken soup! The soup's portion is pretty big and it's really delicious. I usually order it without the rice but with more glass noodles. Even though I don't take vegetables, I still order it with the vegetables as it enhances the taste of the soup. I remove them just before I eat.

Other dishes that I recommend are:
- Korean spicy rice cakes. Love this!
- Kimchi Fried rice
- Fried Saba fish
- Cuttlefish
- Pan fried Fish

I asked CW to rank the food in order to what he will order the next time he comes. He had a really hard time. He said 'The cuttlefish is REALLY good but to have that everytime is abit too much. First on my list is definitely the cuttle fish, second would be fried saba fish and then pan fried fish followed by kimchi fried rice.' As for myself, I am not as adventurous as he is. I always order the same dishes when I'm there (Spicy Chicken Soup and Spicy Rice cakes).

Love the spicy rice cakes too. The sauce is so thick and fragrant. SLURPS.

Tulip mania at Garden's by the bay!

My mum, Love and I went to the tulip mania last weekend. I think because it's towards the end of the exhibit, the flowers were already dying. Nevertheless, there were still many pretty flowers for all to see! I'll let the pictures do the talking.
Loving my mum's pants!

Dying tulips :(

We had to take a picture with the tulips since that's what wer were here for.

The following pictures were taken by my boyfriend CheeWee of FIVESTONESVISUALS.

Omakase Buger and PasarBella at Turf City

We decided to visit Omakase Burger last weekend to try out their burgers. Have heard quite good reviews about their burgers and truffle fries!

The shop's concept is like a fast food restaurant but with gourmet burgers. You queue to order food before you get seated. You might have to wait at least 20 minutes to get a seat during peak hours. We went on a Sunday at around 2pm and we didn't have to wait for seats, waiting time was just in the queue for orders. They accept cash, nets and credit cards.  You can refer to their website for their menu.
Additional stuff not in the menu

Reasons why their burgers are better than the rest!

We ordered the Omakase Burger, Deluxe Cheeseburger, Truffle fries and a root beer float. They combined the Omakase Burger, Truffle fries and root beer float into a set and the total bill came up to around $40. Pretty pricy I must say.

Buzzer to let us know when our food is ready.

Looking happy with his food!

Awkward smile due to the braces :X
The patty was really good! It was tasty and because we chose medium, it wasn't tough. It was also really juicy. However, I felt that the burger was alittle small? Not sure if anyone feels the same as I do or I was just really hungry that day :X Enjoyed the root beer float alot.

It was our first time walking around Turf city grand stand after the renovations and all the new shops. We headed over to PasarBella. We really like the feel of the place.

Fresh produce

There was an area selling food/ seafood. Sushi, prawns, Oysters, ribs etc all in an area. Will definitely pop by another to try out what they have there!

Grandstand at the turf city has undergone a major facelift as compared to before. The shops they have there cater to the needs of many people and PasarBella is a really nice place to check out! Do pop by if you have the chance to.

Staycation (Mövenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa)

Last month, my girls and I went on a staycation to celebration Jessie's Birthday! The hotel that we went to was Mövenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa. This hotel is right beside the train station so it is very accessible.

At the entrance of the hotel

It was an extremely hot day and all we wanted to do was to stay in the room :X

<3 the bed!
Nua-ing is what we do best.
The washroom

Free coffee capsules

The room was nice but I thought it was pretty pricy for the size. They offered an upgrade for an additional $100 but we thought it wasn't worth it so we stuck with this room.

We did not do much other than slacking, chatting and eating! Dinner was at Chilli's and they have really good Nachos!
It has been awhile since to we took a group picture

Happy Birthday Pok!

How we spent the night.

It's really nice to spend time with my girls. They are the best stress relievers ever.

Braces up!

So my palatal expander and top braces went up on 7 May 2013. It was only slightly uncomfortable when it first went on. The teeth went on to hurt for the next 4 days.
Top braces

Bottom set of teeth
As I have read up on the palatal expander beforehand, i knew what to expect. The thing that I was initially very worried about is that I don't know how to turn it properly. Youtube was really helpful in this case. There are step by step videos that you can find on how to turn the key. It took me only 1 minute to turn the key even though I was doing it for the first time. After I'm done for the turn of the day, I put in the key to make sure that I can find the hole for the next day. I'm turning it once a day. Upon turning, you can feel pressure for a short while and then it goes away.

Talking is horrible for the first 3 days but as I practiced more by trying to talk properly, i'm sounding quite normal now other than for words like GREEN. It sounds like GWEEN. haha

The palatal expander is a horror when it comes to eating. It is SO HARD TO EAT. Everything gets stuck. I rinse my mouth many times a day to ensure that nothing gets stuck there. I also have a mini brush that can reach the expander and I brush it everyday after food.

I want to get the Waterpik for easy flossing! It's so expensive in Singapore and not easy to find. Hoping to be able to ship it over from USA.

Waiting for the next appointment!
